Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I registered for a class. When will I hear from my instructor?
A: Instructors typically send an introductory email to all registered students about one week before the class begins.
Q: I need to withdraw from a class I registered for. What should I do?
A: Use the CUEP Withdrawal Notice to begin the withdrawal process. If withdrawing on or after the second class, you will need to also formally withdraw from the course through FSCJ.
Q: What do I need to do to apply for graduation? (Either 6 or 12 course Certificate)
A: Congratulations on completing the requisite classes for graduation! Check out the Graduation specific FAQs below.
Q:What is considered a passing grade?
A: CUEP has determined that any grade that is a C or higher will be considered as a passing grade, however your Credit Union may define this differently. For any specific questions, you will need to reach out to your HR/Training Department.
Q: Are there required classes?
A: Yes, all students must complete Human Behavior, Foundation & Structure of Credit Unions, Business Mathematics, and Fundamentals of Member Service.
Q: Can I substitute college classes?
A: Yes, some classes may be substituted. Visit our Course Substitutions page for more details.
Q: Should I send my transcript securely?
A: We encourage students to use caution when sending personal information.
Q: What is a business appropriate headshot?
A: A photo of you from the shoulders up, with work appropriate attire and grooming, where your face is clearly visible. Be aware of what is in your photo, make sure the background is not distracting.
Q: I need a summer class for graduation. Can I still apply?
A: Yes, students enrolled in summer courses needed for graduation at the time of application may apply. If students have courses remaining to take in a future semester, their graduation application will be denied.
Q: I've submitted my application. When will I receive an answer?
A: Once your graduation application has been submitted, it may take a few weeks to receive a decision. Each application is evaluated and reviewed by the Committee Chair. Applications are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. We appreciate your patience during this process.

A: Graduation applications open each June and can be found on the Program Graduation page. Because graduations only happen once a year, applications are only accepted during a specified window.

A: In addition to basic identification information you will need to provide a copy of your FSCJ transcripts - these can be official or unofficial, a business appropriate headshot, a brief personal statement about your CUEP experience, and any supporting documentation such as course substitution approval letters.
